Two students will be selected as interns to assist the Reno-Tahoe Winter Games Coalition in bringing the 2022 Winter Olympics to Reno--interested in Sports PR? This opportunity is perfect for you!
The individuals applying must be well-rounded, hardworking, and experienced in social media. The Coalition expects to work with an outstanding student that excels in communication. The chosen intern will work closely with the Coalition’s executive board in setting up meetings, planning fundraising events and maintaining the website and various social media sites. Students of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
The second student chosen will be working with the Reno Chamber of Commerce as a fulltime summer intern.This individual will also must be hardworking and responsible in order to handle the workload. The student will be expected to create websites for local businesses interested in participating in the 2022 Olympics, help plan promotional and fundraising events, and be available to help the Reno Chamber of Commerce and the many local businesses for all web and social media needs.
Interested students should send in their resumes and cover letters to newenergy2pr@gmail.com, which will be reviewed by the
Winter Games Coalition, the Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Conference Planning Committee. The
applicants will be narrowed down into smaller groups and be interviewed at the conference. These interviews
will determine the two outstanding individuals that will be chosen to spend their summer working for the
Coalition and the Chamber. The interns will be announced on the final day of the Conference at the ceremony
which will conclude the 2012 PRSSA Regional Conference.
