Have fun at local attractions!
Gambling is not the only thing our great city has to offer!

National Automobile Museum - Come check out some cool cars at one of the top ten car museums in the country.
Nevada Museum of Art - For all those art fans out there, come check out our internationally recognized art Museum.
Riverside Movie Theater - Want to see a movie after your day downtown, check out this theater located right on the River.
Walk the Truckee River - Great shops, food, and entertainment await you in the Reno Riverwalk District.
Casinos - Whether it's to gamble or just to enjoy a show, check out Reno's Casinos for a fun night out on the town.

Come for the food and drink!

Reno offers some of the best food in the country, and with downtown and midtown Reno being incredibly walkable, there is no excuse not to try out some of Reno's favorite eats.

Downtown
The Little Nugget - Come check out the famous Little Nugget Diner and try out one of their award winning awful awful hamburgers. Bring Cash!
Ichiban Japanese steakhouse & Sushi Bar - Teppanyaki and all you can eat sushi right in downtown Reno.
Silver Peak Brewery - A gastropub with a great atmosphere and wonderful food options as well as a brewer of its own beer.
Chocolate Bar - A favorite for appetizers, drinks, and desserts.
Ole Bridge Pub - Reno's newest old world pub, and one of its fastest growing social spots.
Wild River Grill - A fun place for creative food and drinks right on the river.
Java jungle/Jungle vino - Whether its coffee in the morning or wine in the evening, The jungle has what you want.

Midtown
just a little bit south of the downtown area
Cheese Board - An American bistro with memorable eats.
St. James Infirmary - A bar where you can chill out and enjoy a nice drink.
Midtown Eats - Good food with a great atmosphere.
Süp - A great soup and sandwich shop that offer vegan dishes as well
Blue Moon Pizza - If you like gourmet pizza, here is the place for you

Come for the recreation

Hiking trails, Lake Tahoe, state parks, walking downtown and the riverwalk, you won't be bored in Reno!

Lake Tahoe - Only a 30 minute drive from Reno, Tahoe offers great activities throughout the year
Hiking - Closest to campus, Rancho San Rafael park offers great trails.
Ski/Snowboard - A local pastime, if you have time, make sure to check out one of the many resorts around the Reno/Tahoe area and hit the slopes
Golfing - Set up a tee time for one of Reno's great golf courses.
Reno Aces - On the evening of April 12, you have the chance to go to an Aces game. With tickets often as low as $7, going to an Aces game is a Reno-must.
