WHAT CAN I RECEIVE FROM THE $75 DUE?
PRSSA Nevada members pay a $75 due, which covers membership for two semesters. Members have exclusive access to internships and scholarships. Other benefits such as agency tours, invitations to PRSA/PRSSA mixers and the opportunity to travel for PRSSA events are available to paying members.
WHAT IS PUBLIC RELATIONS?
Public relations (PR) is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics.
DO I HAVE SPECIFIC MAJOR IN ORDER TO JOIN?
Students from any major are encouraged to join. PRSSA Nevada exposes members to community relations, communications and graphic design opportunities, as well as connections to professionals within various fields. Ultimately, PRSSA Nevada is here to help you expand your public relations knowledge and skillsets.

WHAT JOBS CAN YOU GET IN PR?
There are SO many paths in public relations, which is why it is such a great industry! Interested in entertainment? You could be a celebrity’s publicist, work for TV shows or movies, or follow bands on tours. A fan of politics? You could end up as the director of government affairs, writing speeches for politicians, or lobbying for specific policies. Love recommending your favorite products to loved ones? Why not get paid to influence consumers to give them a try? Public relations is a vast and growing field, and PR skills are valuable in every profession!
