Established in 1984PRSSA Nevada was founded in 1984 by the late professor Emeritus Jim Ellis, APR, Fellows PRSA and the late Ted Connover, both well respected PR ad men in the day. PRSSA Nevada and PRSA Sierra Nevada frequently collaborate, as Sierra Nevada provides professional mentors, scholarships for PRSSA students’ education, and supports PRSSA through financial commitments such as student membership dues, program experts, the Bateman Case Study Competition, and opportunities from internships to promotion. In turn, PRSSA Nevada supports PRSA through event logistics, creating opportunities for APRs to maintain their standing, and sustaining the chapter as members join upon graduation.
